About Paul G Cormier

Paul G Cormier is a Raleigh, NC-based freelance developer, designer and usability consultant who has been designing and building web-based applications since 1994. He has made ColdFusion his platform of choice since the earliest days when two brothers were mailing out floppies. Paul has acquired a broad base of knowledge through his work with Fortune 500 companies, small-mid businesses and several Internet startups. When not busy pushing pixels, Paul can be found on the ice rink as a player and youth hockey coach.

Building RIAs using ExtJS 3.0 and ColdFusion

In this session, you will learn the basics of the Ext JS v3.0 framework for building Rich Internet Applications. This will include a quick review of the available UI widgets and a basic Ext app implementation. Different methods of loading content and data (XML, JSON) from a ColdFusion server will be covered in more detail, including code examples of a data-aware combo-box and editable grid.
