Bringing The Family To CFinNC?

News 3 Comments »

If you are bringing your spouse and/or family there is a lot to see and do in the Triangle area...

Kids?

During the weekend of the conference the NC State Fair will be underway.  Head out, eat some fried food and hop on a few rides! Marbles Kids Museum is a fun, hands-on/educational museum.  Spend the morning playing and then catch an IMAX movie in the afternoon.  NC Natural Science Museum - one word - dinosaurs. Three floors of entertainment and the History Museum is right across the street.  Both are free.

Another favorite is Durham's North Carolina Museum of Life and Science. Great mix of indoor exhibits, outdoor areas, butterfly building and more.  If you like space they have several very impressive displays including a full size Moon lander.

Shopping

Several big malls are in the area.  Crabtree Valley Mall features an Apple AND Lego store. What are you waiting for??

Art

Interested in art? We have several great museums in the area: The North Carolina Museum of Art, the Ackland Art Museum and nearby Duke University.  There are also many smaller museums and galleries in town!

Music

Spend an evening with the NC Symphony, rock out at the world famous Cat's Cradle or any of the other great live music nightspots in Durham, Raleigh and Chapel Hill. We have everything from classical to country, from rap to rock.
